JenCon is looking for dedicated Laborers or those eager to learn the trade alongside the rest of the JenCon team. As a Laborer, you’ll assist in moving and handling material, preparing footings for concrete placement, site cleanup, and other activities assigned by the site Superintendent.
Experience as a Laborer is preferred, but our team is more than willing to accept driven individuals who are willing to learn and hone their craft.
Laborer Requirements:
- Industry experience or willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of general contracting procedures, regulations, and expectations.
- Ability to work on tight deadlines.
- 1-3+ years’ experience with welding, wood/metal framing, concrete forming, and finishing, drywall, trim carpentry, or metalwork
- 1-3+ years’ experience with the operation of tracked and wheeled construction equipment such as skid steers, mini excavators, lifts and booms preferred.
- OSHA 10 and 30 Preferred
- Valid driver’s license required
- Requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, and wear PPE as necessary
- Work will be performed in Union County, Chesterfield County, Lancaster County, Mecklenburg County, York County, and surrounding areas.
- Normal work hours are 7-3:30 with some overtime work and travel required.
- CDL or CDL permit desirable but not required.

JenCon is looking for an experienced and driven Foreman to provide assistance in management and scheduling internal labor as directed by the site Superintendent and by company quality control officials. Duties also include concrete preparation, site design and planning, and other basic functionalities.
At least three (3) years of relevant experience is required for consideration.

JenCon is looking for a deadline-driven Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction project and to act as the link between various project parties. The Construction Superintendent will supervise all subcontractors, consultants, and vendors on a daily basis to ensure that adequate manpower is available and exceptional work is performed.
To ensure success the ideal candidate should complete projects on time and within budget, never compromising on quality. Top candidates will be proactive, perform well under pressure, and have strong leadership skills.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the on-site construction team.
- Coordinate and oversee on-site work.
- Ensure quality standards are met across the board.
- Monitor safety, compliance, and cleanliness.
- Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget, and ensuring adherence to these in conjunction with the Project Manager.
- Place orders for materials, and being responsible for equipment and materials on site.
- Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
Construction Superintendent Requirements:
- At least five years’ experience as a Construction Superintendent.
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
- Highly skilled in conflict and crisis management.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding organizational skills.
- Experience with CAD a plus.

JenCon is looking for a reliable Construction Project Manager to plan construction projects and oversee their progress along the way in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will be responsible for budgeting, organization, implementing, and scheduling company projects.
Construction Project Manager Responsibilities:
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion.
- Review the project in-depth to schedule deliverables and estimate costs.
- Oversee all onsite and offsite constructions to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
- Select tools, materials, equipment, and track inventory.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance.
- Create benchmarks for project progress.
- Review the work progress on a daily basis.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts, and obtain permits and licenses.

- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.

JenCon is looking for a deadline-driven Construction Project Coordinator to assist our Project Managers and Superintendents and to act as the link between various project parties. The Project Coordinator will monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures to ensure project deadlines are met in a timely, cost-effective manner. Additional Project Coordinator duties include organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings.
